After battling a prolonged battle with Cancer, Priyanka Chopra's father Ashok Chopra passed away on June 10, 2013. Everyone is aware of how much the actress was attached to her father and also has a tattoo of 'Daddy Lil Girl' on her hand. Today, on his 11th death anniversary, PeeCee remembers her father with a heartfelt note and a collage of videos and pictures of her fond memories with her dad.

Taking to her Instagram account, Priyanka shares a beautiful video that has multiple pictures of her with her father, Ashok. The video also has a beautiful moment where her father is happily singing the song 'Sagar ke mahine mein'. The actress penned, "The light of every room. You’re still our brightest light dad. 11 years without you and it still doesn’t feel real. Thinking of you today and everyday. I love you. Forever. Hold your loved ones close and tell them you love them. Time can be short."

In 2018, during her wedding to Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra remembered her dad and told Zoom, “I was getting married and I missed my dad so much at that time. I missed his presence so much knowing that my mom would be doing it all alone, when it was all that my dad wanted and would keep saying ‘Main suit kab silwaau, main suit kab silwaau’. It was very prevalent in my brain at that time and this definitely help me heal.”
