Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anthony Mackie's thriller Ending Things acquired by Amazon Studios

Amazon Studios has landed the rights to Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Marvel actor Anthony Mackie's action-adventure thiller Ending Things, written and directed by Kevin Sullivan. The two actors were cast in the movie earlier this year. 

Deadline reports that Ending Things is about "a hit-woman who wants out of the assassin business tells her business” 'partner that she’s ending their personal relationship as well. But she comes to realize she doesn’t want to end that part of their bond. In order to survive the breakup – and their last job together – they must join forces for one last night out."

Mackie will serve as a producer on the project via his banner Make It With Gravy Productions and Chopra Jonas is attached as executive producer through Purple Pebble Pictures. Davis Entertainment’s Jeremy Stein, Lit Entertainment and Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire are also producers.

Chopra Jonas was recently seen in The Matrix Resurrections as Sati. Deadline mentions that she recently wrapped the romantic comedy Text For You and is also part of the Amazon limited series Citadel. She also has a Hindi movie in the pipeline, Jee Le Zaraa, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. 

Meanwhile, Mackie will make his directorial debut with a civil rights drama Spark, starring King Richard’s Saniyya Sidney. He is set to reprise his role as Sam Wilson aka Falcon in the fourth Captain America movie. He has previously played this Marvel character in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
