Bollywood fans were taken aback a few months ago when Farhan Akhtar revealed that Ranveer Singh would be starring in the third installment of Shah Rukh Khan's beloved Don franchise. The announcement of the third movie in the series, starring King Khan, was eagerly anticipated by the fans.
However, following the news, speculation over the name of the movie's female lead has been rife, and it appears that Priyanka Chopra Jonas may be making a spectacular return to the franchise and Bollywood with Don 3. According to recent reports, the director of the first two Don films, Farhan Akhtar, has now approached PeeCee to be a part of Don 3.
Reports by the Hindustan Times now reveal that Priyanka Chopra has been asked to revisit her role by the Don 3 team. Chopra played Roma Bhagat, better known as Junglee Billi, in the Don franchise. The initial meeting happened during Priyanka's recent visit to India for a different work-related obligation. According to a source, she used her stay in India to schedule the meetings and plan her next move in the Hindi film business.
Priyanka has a very close bond with Farhan, and she is trying to make it work and checking her schedule, the insider reveals to the portal. The possibility of her return exists now that Shah Rukh is not involved in the project.

The Don series has an extensive record. The 1978 film 'Don', starring Amitabh Bachchan, was remade as 'Yugandhar' (1979) in Telugu, starring NTR; 'Billa' (1980) in Tamil, starring Rajinikanth; and 'Shobaraj' (1986) in Malayalam, starring Mohanlal. The 1991 Punjabi-language version of the movie, 'Cobra', starred Sultan Rahi.
The 2011 film Don 2, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Lara Dutta, was a huge hit with audiences. Expectations for the third movie in the series have been high.
