Priyanka Chopra and her husband, musician Nick Jonas, had their first child, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, through surrogacy earlier this year. The actress recently shared a picture of her daughter wearing a cute T-shirt with the words "Desi Girl" printed on it.

Priyanka, who won the nickname after the chartbuster song in Dostana, uploaded a snapshot of her daughter on Instagram and added the hashtag "#Desigirl" to the picture. Interestingly, only a portion of the baby's face is seen in the photo since Priyanka and Nick have agreed not to reveal the baby's face.

Madhu Chopra (Priyanka Chopra's mother) previously spoke to The New Indian Express on how active Nick and Priyanka are as parents. She also stated that she felt delighted when the couple decided to name their child after her. She continued, “I got to know about the name only on the day of the namkaran, and I was so honoured. In our tradition, the paternal grandfather whispers the name, along with words of wisdom, into the baby’s ears. Nick’s dad did those rituals.”

Priyanka and Nick revealed the very first photo of their daughter on Mother's Day this year. They also announced in their post that Malti Marie had arrived home after staying more than 100 days in the ICU.

On the work front, Priyanka has a few intriguing films in her kitty. She was most recently seen in Keanu Reeves' American film The Matrix Resurrections, alongside Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris. She played the character Sati in the film.

Ending Things, It's All Coming Back To Me will be her next film. She also has Farhan Akhtar's Bollywood flick Jee Le Zaraa, in which she co-stars alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. This is also Priyanka's comeback to Hindi cinema following the 2019 film The Sky Is Pink.
