Priyanka Chopra takes a dig at Katrina Kaif, says filmmakers would cast her to make their movies hit

Priyanka Chopra took a dig on Katrina Kaif. The actress spoke about Katrina long ago, during an awards show. She claimed that filmmakers cast her to make their movies hit.

Even though Priyanka and Katrina will collaborate for Zoya Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara as leads now, they never worked together before that. Even when they did, Katrina gave a dance number in Priyanka’s movie, Agneepath.

Priyanka in fact hinted about Agneepath at the awards show. She took a dig at Karan Johar for casting Katrina for the song, Chikni Chameli.

It was reported that Katrina was paid the same amount as Priyanka, even though the latter had a bigger role in the film. Priyanka was cast opposite Hrithik Roshan in the movie.

Priyanka said that filmmakers would cast Katrina to make a movie hit. She then went on to add, “Hurricane Katrina.”

Many people have called out the video now for various reasons. Some feel that Katrina never gave a hit on her own. She was always paired with either Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor. Others also questioned who goes to watch a movie for Katrina Kaif, while calling out her acting skills.

Katrina’s last film was Phone Bhoot. The movie starred Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter too. Phone Bhoot, despite the buzz, did not get the Box Office registers ringing.

Priyanka is currently busy promoting her upcoming series, Citadel. The show will release on Amazon Prime Video and stars Richard Madden as the male lead.
