Priyanka Mohan, the actress who rose to prominence in quick time in South Indian cinema and delivered commendable performances in Nani’s Gangleader, Sreekaram, Sivakarthikeya’s Don and Doctor, has bagged another plum project. Yes, the reports you’ve heard about her next are true. She is the female lead of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming action drama, helmed by Saaho director Sujeeth.

The actioner is produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the banner that bankrolled the Oscar-winning RRR as well. The untitled film went on floors this April 15 in Mumbai while Pawan Kalyan started filming for his portions yesterday. The regular stream of updates of the star’s films has given the fans enough reason to cheer.
The film has a top-notch technical team. Revered lensman Ravi K Chandran cranks the camera while AS Prakash is the production designer. S Thaman, who’s worked on Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak and the Vinodhaya Sitham remake is the composer. Reports suggest the filming will be wrapped in quick time and Pawan Kalyan has allocated only a few days for the shoot.
While Pawan Kalyan’s Vinodhaya Sitham wrapped its shoot recently, the first schedule of his next project with Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, completed its first week-long schedule in Hyderabad. The latter, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is touted to be the Telugu remake of Theri in which Sreeleela plays the female lead. Another high-budget outing of the star, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, is delayed and a good chunk of the shoot is pending.
