Priyanka Mohan to star opposite Dhanush in Arun Matheswaran's action-adventure?

We had told you director Arun Matheswaran of Saani Kaayidham-fame was teaming up with Dhanush on an action adventure. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Priyanka Mohan is likely to play the female lead. Although the Doctor actress has been approached by the makers, we hear, she's yet to sign on the dotted line. In case, Priyanka comes on board, this will mark her first project with Dhanush. Her latest release was Sivakarthikeyan's Don, which is in theatres.

Bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films, Captain Miller is the title of this pan-Indian film; however, it hasn't been made official. According to sources, Dhanush sports two different looks in the film, set in the 1940s.

In an interview with OTTplay, Arun Matheswaran spoke about the same. “The film with Dhanush is in the pre-production phase. He's extremely sharp and a good listener. He’s someone who has no airs or a bloated ego. When I tell Dhanush something, he understands it easier. Maybe, that's because he has directed films himself. I enjoy speaking with him.”

The sketches of Dhanush's looks were completed earlier this year and the principal photography will take place soon at a city studio, according to a report, published by DT Next.

Dhanush has multiple releases in the pipeline. This includes his Hollywood venture, The Gray Man, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo; Mithran Jawahar's Thiruchitrambalam, Selvaraghavan's Naane Varuven, and so on. Apart from directing Dhanush after 11 years, Selvaraghavan will be playing a key role in the film.

Arun Matheswaran, on the other hand, made his directorial debut with Rocky. In a recent interview, he had revealed that his film with Dhanush wasn't about the real-life Captain Miller, who was an LTTE leader. He added the actor will start shooting for this, once he wraps up Vaathi. Bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments, this Tamil-Telugu bilingual is directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema-fame.
