The pan-Indian film Project K will be helmed by Nag Ashwin and is expected to be out in 2023

Deepika Padukone will be seen sharing the screen with Baahubali actor Prabhas for the first time in the pan-Indian film Project K. The actor took to social media to announce the wrap of the first schedule of the film shoot in Hyderabad.
Padukone posted on the Instagram story and wrote: "You were lovely #Hyderabad... Until we meet again..." She tagged her co-stars and director calling it a wrap for the first schedule of the shoot. She also shared the picture of a feast she shared with the team of the film.
The film, helmed by Nag Ashwin, also features the legend, Amitabh Bachchan. Earlier, Prabhas had welcomed him on the sets of the movie and called him 'Guru of cinema'. The film is a sci-fi thriller with the three - Bachchan, Padukone and Prabhas in lead roles.
Ashwin had announced the mega project earlier by stating that he is excited about the project and to see Deepika play the character. According to Pinkvilla, the filmmaker assured the audience that the film will be something that mainstream cinema hasn't witnessed before and will leave everyone surprised.
He had also mentioned that the pairing of Padukone and Prabhas is one of the highlights of the movie and the audience would not forget their story. He is confident that the film will remain in the minds of the people forever. Fans are already too excited to see their on-screen chemistry.
The film is said to be one of the most expensive projects in Indian cinema, making the expectations even higher for the audience. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2023. Meanwhile, Padukone will next be seen in 83, a biopic on the former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev.
