The promo of the upcoming Zee Bangla serial Mon Dite Chai was dropped on Tuesday. With Writwik Mukherjee and Arunima Haldar in the lead, the serial will start on January 2.
As per the promo, Arunima plays the character of a lively and independent-minded girl, who is vocal against injustice and violence against women. Writwik's character's name is Somraj Bandyopadhyay, he owns the 300-crores Banerjee Textiles. He thinks that no woman is behind his success, and he is a self-made man. However, Arunima does not like Somraj's attitude. Hence, she returns a big order of Rs 30 thousand to the conceited business tycoon.
The promo garnered praise on social media. The audience says that a new blend of storylines has come, just like Ei Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoy. However, the serial did not get a primetime slot. It will be shown at 10.30 pm at the place of Uron Tubri. Netizens are against such a slot. They opined that Mon Dite Chai should get the 8.30 pm slot that is now occupied by Ranga Bou. Some say that Writwik has bad luck. His previous serial Ei Poth Jodi Na Sesh Hoy also got a non-prime slot.
Due to a number of new serials, Zee Bangla slots will change considerably. Neem Fuler Modhu is shown at 8 pm, followed by Ranga Bou at 8.30 pm. Then Sohag Jal and Tomar Khola Hawa will take the consecutive slots. Lakkhi Kakima Superstar, starring Aparajita Adhya, will be shown at 10 PM, which will be followed by Mon Dite Chai.
