The Prosenjit-Rituparna duo started their journey in 1994 in Nagpanchami. The first film was a super hit. Then came Mayar Badhon, Baba Keno Chakor, Swamir Ghar, Moner Manush, and many others. After Swasurbari Jindabad, they did not work for a long time. But that did not affect their popularity, which was proved again in their comeback film Prakton, directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy.
Prakton was released in 2016 and was a roaring success. Koushik Ganguly then made Dristikon with the pair. It was a different pair and the characters were different, but the magic of the pair was intact. Now, Koushik, Prosenjit, and Rituparna are coming together again to present a new film to the audience.
