Prosenjit Chatterjee opens up about Bengali OTT space

Prosenjit Chatterjee has debuted on OTT with Vikramaditya Motwane’s legendary web series, Jubilee. The Amazon Prime series also features Aparshakti Khurana, Sidhant Gupta, Aditi Rao Hydari, Wamiqa Gabbi, Ram Kapoor, and others. The show was dropped in April last year. 

The show garnered appreciation from viewers and critics alike. Prosenjit’s portrayal of Srikant Roy has been lauded and the actor received a series of awards for his performance. Later, Prosenjit plays a key character in Hansal Mehta’s Scoop. Now, the actor is gearing up for Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. 

Will Prosenjot ever work in a Bengali web series? “Why not,” he asked. In an interview with OTTplay, the actor said that he would love to work in a Bengali web series. However, he clarified that it is important for him to get an offer with a strong script and character. “I need to feel the urge to prove something to say yes to a Bengali web series. As of today, I did not get anything like that,” he told us.  

Prosenjit further claimed that he has no problem working in the Bengali OTT space. “There is something I learnt from Soumitrakaku (Chatterjee) and Mr Bachchan (Amitabh) that as an actor one should do everything. And if you are doing something, do it perfectly. I have done television, OTTs, and films. If I get to see some kind of a spark in Bengali OTT, I will do it,” he said.
