Prudhvi Raj turns director with Kotha Rangula Prapancham; daughter Shreelu to make her debut

Popular Telugu comedian, character actor Prudhvi Raj, after a brief stint in politics, is now taking on a new role. He is wielding the megaphone for a film titled Kotha Rangula Prapancham that features him in a key role as well. Prudhvi Raj’s directorial is headlined by Kranthi Krishna and Shreelu. The latter is the daughter of Prudhvi Raj, who makes her acting debut with the project.

The first glimpse of Kotha Rangula Prapancham was unveiled on Friday. The promo offers a sneakpeek of Prudhvi Raj’s stint as a director besides introducing the film’s vibe to viewers. The film has a good mix of comedy, action, romance and a reasonable dose of thrills too. The shoot of the entertainer was completed recently and the post-production formalities are on at a brisk pace.

Vijaya Rangaraju, Ashok Kumar, Geetha Singh, Krishna Teja, Ambati Srinu, Jabardasth Naveen, Jabardasth Ganapathi play other important roles in the film. “The film has shaped up very well and I interacted with the cinematographer in detail before canning every sequence. Many notable names have applauded my effort. I am very impressed with the music too,” Prudhvi Raj said.

Thanking Prudhvi Raj for the opportunity, while addressing him reverently as guruji, actor Kranthi Krishna appreciated the producers for the effort to introduce newcomers like him into the industry. “I got to work with many experienced actors in the film and I hope audiences appreciate it.” Shreelu said she was on cloud nine for entering cinema in her father’s directorial.

The film is produced by Dasari Rekha, Krishna Reddy, Srinivas Reddy under Sri PR Creations. Ramakrishna Arram is the editor of the same, while S V Shivareddy cranks the camera. The film has music by Sri Sangeetha Aditya with dance choreography by Vallama Kaladhar, Satyam and Madhusudan. The release date will be announced shortly.
