In Kriti Kharbanda's latest Instagram post, her new husband, Pulkit Samrat, can be seen cooking halwa as part of his 'first rasoi' in an endearing gesture. Seeing this, Kriti got emotional and couldn’t stop herself from sharing her happiness with the world. She even wrote a long note about it. Here’s all about it:
Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda, the newly-married Bollywood couple, have been making headlines for their wedding and adorable pre- and post-wedding pictures on social media. The latest is a video shared by Kriti in which Pulkit is seen cooking halwa for her as part of his 'first rasoi', which is usually a daughter-in-law's task a day after getting married. Saying that it made Kriti fall in love with Pulkit all over again, the Housefull 4 actress wrote, “Ok so something major happened yesterday and I fell in love all over again. I didn’t think this was possible, yet, it happened 😊 Pulkit ki pehli rasoi happened yesterday. I walked into the kitchen and realised he’s making halwa. I asked him what he was doing, and he casually responded, “halwa bana raha hoon, it’s my pehli rasoi.”
When Kriti told him it was the woman who did that, Pulkit reminded her of sharing responsibilities in their relationship. He said, “You cooked for our family back home in Delhi, I’ll cook for our family here in Bangalore. Simple!”
Bowled over by this "simple" response, Kriti called him a ‘green flag alert’ and added that with this one change in perspective, Pulkit made things easier and more beautiful for both of them. She went on to say that her husband was the "sabr ka sabse meetha phal" for her and also put a few evil eye emojis.
Wishing the couple the best in their journey ahead, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali posted, “God bless you both with eternal love.❤️”
Fukrey actor Ali Fazal dropped a red heart on the post.
Similarly, playback singer Sachet Tandon replied with two black heart emojis in comments as did Aditi Singh Sharma with two black hearts and evil eye emojs.
Some users also shared their hilarious opinions on seeing a regular, slightly burnt-on-the edges middle-class kadai (skillet) in the kitchen in which Pulkit cooked the delicious halwa and advised him to change or replace it.
A few others seemed happy to notice how down to earth the couple is despite their name, fame and wealth.
Pulkit and Kriti got married on March 15 and a few days later, Kriti took to Instagram stories to share snaps from her 'pehli rasoi' for Pulkit’s family. While the first image was that of a plate of halwa garnished with chopped almonds, the second was Kriti being blessed by the elders of the family. She wore a captivating traditional red dress with minimal makeup and wrote, “Approved by dadi.” The third image showed the process of making halwa.
