Puneet Superstar’s Bigg Boss OTT 2 exit effect: Social media star's following goes from 606k to 1.2 million in 3 days

Even before Bigg Boss OTT 2 began, it got into a controversy with Puneet Superstar’s exit. His walking out of the show was met with a lot of wrath. The social media ‘star’s followers came out in his support and demanded that the show be banned.

These fans said that the show’s TRPs will go down with Puneet’s exit. This is exactly what the former contestant has been claiming ever since his stay in the house.

The one proof of his popularity comes in the form of his Instagram followers count taking a steep rise in the three days of his exit. Before his entry on the Salman Khan-hosted show (as of June 19), Puneet’s followers were 606k. Currently, he has 1.2 million followers.

Puneet was thrown out of the house after he revolted and kept screaming in front of every camera. He insulted the co-contestants, makers and even the panelists.

Puneet started his rant, of going from the ranking of two to 10. In foul language, he challenged the panelists about their decision.

The social media influencer said that everything on the show is paid for by the janta, who love him. He then asked Bigg Boss to throw him out.

Earlier in the day, Puneet was ousted by the contestants too. He refused to clean up after himself, which irked many in the house. This included Pooja Bhatt, Falaq Naaz and Cyrus Broacha. Puneet only received support in the form of co-content creators like Abhishek Malhan and Manisha Rani. Everybody else, including Jad Hadid, were irritated with Puneet and wanted him out of the house. Eventually, of course, Puneet had to make his exit from the show. He left, once again challenging the makers.

Since his exit, Puneet has asked the makers to keep Rs. 50 lakhs ready if they want his re-entry on the show. Puneet’s fans, who call him ‘Lord Puneet,’ have revolted against the makers. Thus, he believes he will be back in the house. Whether that actually happens though, remains to be seen.
