Puri Jagan and Ram Pothineni's Double Ismart launched-Release date and shoot updates revealed

Puri Jagan is a genius and he has proved it time and again over the years as he made super hit films with all the big stars in Telugu cinema. But the manner in which he faced trolls for his flop film Liger, put him down in his career and the ace director also ended up in massive financial losses. Now, he is back with his latest film Double Ismart which features Ram Pothineni in a lead role.

The film is the sequel of Puri Jagan's super hit action drama, Ismart Shankar, and will bring back the combo of Ram and Puri Jagan once again. Well, the film was launched today in Hyderabad in a very simple manner. There were not many special guests at the launch and Puri Jagan himself directed the first shot featuring Ram Pothineni.

Puri Jagan and Charmee will co-produce this film on a massive scale and the director says that the sequel will surely live up to the hype created. Ram Pothineni will be seen in a new look in this film. Ram who bulked up for his film with Skanda has already lost oodles of weight for Double Ismart and looked handsome at the launch.

We at OTTplay reported that the heroines of the film will be announced today but that did not happen as the news is that the makers will announce the names in a special way in the days to come. The makers have also revealed that Double iSmart will have a pan-India release. It will release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on March 8, 2024.

Mani Sharma will compose music for this film which has a very unique backdrop. The film will go on floors on July 12, 2023, in Hyderabad. A few popular Hindi actors will also play key roles in the film. There is news that Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to play one of the leads. But there is no confirmation regarding this news. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
