Director Puri Jagannadh and actor Vijay Sethupathi will collaborate on a new multi-lingual film, announced on Ugadi

Director Puri Jagannadh and actor Vijay Sethupathi are set to unit for a new multi-lingual film, the makers announced on social media on Sunday for the occasion of Ugadi. Touted to be a commercial film with ambitions set high, it is mounted by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Viduthalai: Part 2, will be collaborating with director Puri Jagannadh. The announcement was made on the occasion of Ugadi on Sunday. Bankrolled by the director himself along with Charmme Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects, the yet-to-be titled project is written by Puri Jagannadh himself.
The film’s regular shoot begins in June, and it’s going to be a multi-language release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The details on the rest of the cast and crew are expected to be announced in the later stages of the project. It marks the first time Vijay Sethupathi is teaming up with Puri Jagannadh.
It is to be noted that the last two films of Puri Jagannadh, Double iSmart and Liger in Telugu, have been box office failures and did not fare well among the critics as well. Hence the film with Vijay Sethupathi, has to work out, for Puri Jagannadh to resonate with the audience once again.
Vijay Sethupathi who was last seen in Viduthalai: Part 2, is currently working in multiple projects, including Ace, written, produced and directed by Arumuga Kumar under 7Cs Entertainment. It stars Rukmini Vasanth, Yogi Babu and others. Vijay Sethupathi is also working with director Mysskin for a film titled Train. The release dates for the films are yet to be announced by the makers.
