Pushpa 2 box office collection day 21: Will Baby John release, Allu Arjun arrest delay Sukumar’s sequel to achieve this box office record?

Pushpa 2, the Allu Arjun film helmed by director Sukumar, has become one of the highest grossing Indian films this year. The film, during its 21-day run so far has collected Rs 1089 crore within India, in all languages. The Telugu film, which has now become a pan-Indian success is expected to slow down from this week, given big titles like Baby John and Barroz hit big screens.

Pushpa 2 box office collection day 21

Allu Arjun's latest film Pushpa 2, aka Pushpa: The Rule, has already become a smasher hit at the box office. The film has surpassed the Rs 1500-crore mark worldwide, and now is running towards creating the same record within India. Pushpa 2 released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. During its 21-day run so far, including the premiere show on December 4, Pushpa 2 has collected Rs 1089 crore in India.

The film continues to have a fantastic run in Hindi, and Telugu especially. Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 features Allu Arjun in the lead role and has Rashmika Mandanna play the female lead. Fahadh Faasil plays the antagonist in Pushpa 2. A third part titled Pushpa: The Rampage is in the making. Pushpa 2’s OTT rights have been bagged by Netflix and will be only available after end of January.

Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun to be arrested again?

Ever since the release of Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun has been caught in controversy and legal proceedings in relation to a stampede death case that occurred during the premiere show at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. After the actor was out on bail, a Hyderabad-based advocate revealed to the press that Allu Arjun’s bail might be revoked, potentially leading to his re-arrest.

As a 35-year-old woman lost her life in the stampede, her son is undertaking medical treatment and is in critical condition. As the newly appointed president of the Telangana Film Chamber, producer Dil Raju is actively working to resolve the issue.
