Pushpa 2 box office collection day 29: Allu Arjun's film has grossed Rs 1189 crore in India after 29 days, surpassing Baahubali 2 to become the second highest Indian grosser

With Pushpa 2 nearing a month since its release in theatres, the Allu Arjun-starrer has already beat Baahubaali 2: The Conclusion to become the second highest Indian grosser of all time. Now, with the film in direct competition with Hindi film Dangal to earn the first place, Pushpa 2 has seen a significant drop in its collection. Yet, the film's overall collection in India is standing at Rs 1189 crore during its 29 days of theatrical run so far.
Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 which released in theatres on December 5, has been having a fantabulous run at the box office. It has been 29 days since the film's release, as it is competing directly with Dangal to become India's highest grosser ever, Pushpa 2 saw a significant drop on its 29th day.
The film, although managed to collect Rs 1189 crore overall in India, made much lesser collections on its 29th day as compared to 28th day. While the film made Rs 13.25 crore on day 28, Pushpa 2 managed to collection only Rs 5.1 crore. On the worldwide terms, Pushpa 2 has already collected over Rs 1800 crore.
Pushpa 2 is directed by Sukumar and stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. With Fahadh Faasil playing the primary antagonist, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay appear in supporting roles. Sreeleela made an appearance in the song Kissik.
Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Pushpa 2. With the film having a successful run, Pushpa 2 will not make its OTT debut before 56 days of release. An official release date is yet to be announced.
A sequel to Sukumar’s Pushpa: The Rise, the second part ends on a cliffhanger note, teasing the third part, Pushpa: The Rampage. The Pushpa franchise is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
