Well, Daali Dhananjaya's birthday just keeps giving as yet another super exciting update/comes our way. If it wasn't enough that we got to see his rather full-of-life, gangster avatar in Uttarakaanda via the first teaser of the two-part film, the excitement has now been doubled down with the announcement that he will soon be back as Jolly Reddy in Pushpa 2.

Who is Jolly Reddy?

Dhananjaya, of course, made his Telugu debut back in 2021 with Sukumar's Pushpa: The Rise and impressed everyone with his portrayal of one of the antagonists, Jolly (or Jaali) Reddy. In the narrative, Jolly is revealed quite early on as the Sandalwood smuggler Konda Reddy's (played by Ajay Ghosh) egotistical younger brother who loathes Allu Arjun's Pushpa and is often found at loggerheads with him. As a result, in one of the crucial sequences in the film (spoiler alert), Pushpa ends up beating Jolly Reddy to a pulp and leaves him paralyzed - so, it would be interesting to see how Dhananjaya's character would fit in the new scheme of things.

The makers of Pushpa: The Rule, though, promise that Jolly Reddy will be back to settle the scores and with so much at stake already for Molleti Pushpa Raj, there's lots to look forward to as far as the sequel is concerned. Pushpa 2's main cast also includes Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari and others.

Dhananjaya, the actor in vogue

In other news, Dhananjaya will reunite with his Badava Rascal director Shankar Guru for an action entertainer titled Anna From Mexico which is set to go on floors in November 2023. Aside from Uttarakaanda, which will be a two-part film, and other project mentioned above, the 37-year-old actor has Parameshwar Gundkal's untitled film, the Telugu film Zebra alongside Satyadev Kancharana and others lined up for release.

He also has Tagaru Palya, which he has produced under his home banner of Daali Pictures, scheduled to release this November.
