Pushpa 2 Kerala box office collection Day 3 : Allu Arjun’s film slows down after a massive start; tough times ahead?

Pushpa 2 Kerala box office collection day 3: The mass action entertainer, which marked the fourth collaboration of Allu Arjun and director Sukumar, has been performing extremely well at the domestic and overseas box office. Even though Pushpa 2: The Rule has been setting new records with its worldwide collection, things are not going well for the film in Kerala. The movie, which made a fantastic opening at the Kerala box office, has slowed down immensely on its second and third days of release.

For the uninitiated, Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s film made a massive opening at the Kerala box office on day 1, by making a total collection of over Rs 6.35 crore. Thus, Pushpa 2: The Rule emerged as the highest-grossing film of the Kerala box office in 2024. The movie also surpassed the record set by SS Rajamouli and Prabhas’ Baahubali 2, to emerge as the all-time highest Day 1 grosser from Telugu cinema, at the Kerala box office.

However, the collections of Pushpa 2: The Rule started falling down right from the second day of its release in the state, owing to the negative reviews. Allu Arjun’s mass action film has collected around Rs 2.25 crore from the Kerala box office on both Day 2 and Day 3 (which was also its first Saturday at the theatres), witnessing a major dip. Thus, the total three-day collection of the Sukumar directorial now stands at Rs. 10.85 crore, in the state.

Pushpa 2 Kerala box office prediction

The Pushpa sequel is expected to witness a little increase in its Kerala box office collections on Day 4, which is also its first Sunday at the theatres. Still, it is now safe to assume that the Allu Arjun starrer might not be able to cross the Rs. 15 crore mark in the state, within the first weekend of its release. In that case, things are going to be tougher for the Sukumar directorial right from its first Monday at the theatres. The movie needs to collect at least Rs. 60 crore, to achieve breakeven in the state.
