Pushpa 2 is one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema, earning just over Rs 1850 crore worldwide. The action drama is now streaming on Netflix and has already garnered millions of views. With each passing day, interesting snippets from the film are surfacing.
This time, music composer DSP has shared an intriguing secret about the film’s runtime. In one of his interviews, DSP revealed that after seeing the final cut, director Sukumar and Allu Arjun considered removing the song Peelings from the film.
"ust days before the release, Bunny and Sukku decided to drop Peelings. I urged them to keep the song, as I believed it would create mass hysteria among the audience. After much deliberation, they decided to retain it, and now it has become the biggest hit from the album, loved by one and all," DSP said.
Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun’s sensuous dance moves shocked audiences. Although the song was criticized by some for its bold choreography, it resonated with the masses and appears at a crucial moment in the film.
The reloaded version of Pushpa 2 is now streaming on Netflix, with a locked runtime of three hours and forty-four minutes. Some key scenes omitted from the theatrical release have been added to the digital version. The response to the OTT release has been phenomenal, with audiences loving the intense climax, where Allu Arjun delivers a high-octane action sequence using only his head and shoulders while his hands are tied.
As of now, Allu Arjun is taking a break, but he will soon begin working on the script for Trivikram’s next film, a fantasy drama in which he will portray Lord Karthikeya. Naga Vamsi will produce the film under the Sithara Entertainments banner, and pre-production has already commenced in Hyderabad.
