Pushpa 2 is one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema, breaking records left, right, and center. Recently, Sukumar’s film starring Allu Arjun grossed over Rs 1500 crore and continues to perform strongly in theaters worldwide. In overseas markets, Pushpa 2 is nearing the $30 million mark and is expected to hit this milestone by the end of the week.

In the US, Pushpa 2 has grossed $14.2 million to date, making it the highest-earning Telugu film not directed by SS Rajamouli. The film needs to surpass $16 million in the US to enter the safe zone. In the UK and Ireland, the film has made $2.2 million, setting another record for Telugu cinema.

In Australia, Pushpa 2 has grossed $2.7 million, which is highly impressive. Across the Middle East, the film has earned $5.4 million, again the highest for a non-Rajamouli Telugu film. In Europe, the film has brought in $1.5 million so far.
These figures are rough estimates and continue to be updated. Reaching $30 million overseas is no small feat, highlighting the growing influence of Telugu cinema on the global stage.
However, the real success lies in the northern belt of India, where Pushpa 2 has become the highest-grossing Hindi film, surpassing Rs 640 crore. In the Telugu states, the film has crossed Rs 200 crore but needs an additional Rs 10 crore to enter the profit zone.
In Telangana, Pushpa 2 is already profitable and continues to perform well at the box office, though occupancy rates have declined. The film’s earnings could have been higher if not for the steep ticket prices in Telugu states and overseas. Despite this, ticket prices in several areas remain high.
Adding to the buzz, Allu Arjun’s involvement in the Sandhya Theater stampede case has unintentionally boosted publicity for the film. The controversy and public scrutiny surrounding the incident have disappointed Allu Arjun personally. Today, he is attending a meeting with Hyderabad police regarding his bail application. It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold in the coming days.
