Hi Nanna is off to a great start at the box office. After winning critical acclaim from the first day, the collections have skyrocketed over the weekend and the mixed responses to Nithiin’s Extra Ordinary Man have given it an additional edge. The relationship drama is Nani’s ninth $1 million grosser in the US - the film has collected over Rs 40 crore in its four day-long first weekend.

While several filmmakers, actors have praised Hi Nanna, the film has found a new fan in Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun today, who shared a heartwarming note over a social media post. Congratulating the team of Hi Nanna, he called it a ‘sweet, warm film’ and said it was ‘truly heart touching.’ He appreciated Nani’s ‘effortless performance’ lauding him for backing such a ‘captivating script.’

Among the technicians, he was in awe of Sanu John Varughese’s cinematography and composer Hesham Abdul Wahab’s album.

Allu Arjun praised Shouryuv for his commendable debut for his wonderful presentation and for ‘creating many heart touching and tear jerking moments’ and congratulated the producers for bringing a sweet film to audiences. “#HiNanna will touch every family members hearts not just fathers.” The star, in the previous week, also expressed his admiration for Sandeep Reddy’s Vanga.

The star, who won a National Award for his performance in Pushpa - The Rise, is currently filming for the action drama’s sequel Pushpa 2 - The Rule. The film, directed by Sukumar, releases in theatres on August 15, 2024, clashing with the third instalment of Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty’s Singham franchise (which also stars Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh).
