According to the latest reports, the film has grossed ₹316 crore in Telugu, marking the highest-ever earnings for a non-Rajamouli film. However, Sukumar's directorial needs to earn more to break even. While regions like Telangana have already turned profitable, Andhra Pradesh is yet to catch up. The film is expected to enter the profit zone within a few days.
Although major investors are safe, several Telugu distributors may not see significant returns. Mythri Movie Makers, the producers, released the film independently in various Telugu regions.
Pushpa 2 posts big numbers in Hindi
On the Hindi front, Pushpa 2 has become the biggest hit in recent times, crossing ₹700 crore. However, in the US, the film still needs to earn an additional $2 million to reach profitability.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has made headlines for the wrong reasons following the Sandhya Theatre stampede incident. The situation has escalated, with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy getting directly involved. A group of prominent Telugu film industry figures, including Venkatesh, Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, Nagarjuna, and others, are in talks to resolve the issue and introduce new industry regulations in Hyderabad.
Allu Arjun has remained silent since he visited the police station for further investigation. Reports suggest that his bail could be revoked, potentially leading to further legal trouble.
