Pushpa 2 The Rule- Have the satellite rights sold to Jayantilal Gada? Here’s what we know!

Days before 17 December 2021, nobody knew that the film industry would be witnessing a tsunami of sorts in the form of Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa. Everything about the film was just wow! Be it the dialogues (how can anyone forget the ‘jhukega nai’ line!), music (Srivalli track and others), and most importantly, the stellar performances of Allu Arjun and others.

Buoyed by the super success of Pushpa, the makers eventually decided to make its sequel titled Pushpa 2 The Rule, which is being spearheaded by Allu Arjun himself! Considering the hot property that the film Pushpa 2 The Rule and Allu Arjun has become now, it was only natural that the respective rights for the film could be astronomical.

Theatrical rights and Digital rights

True to everyone’s expectations, the last few days saw the report stating that, the Hindi theatrical of the film has been acquired by Anil Thadani on an advance basis for a staggering Rs 200 crore, whereas, the digital rights have been acquired by Netflix for a whopping sum of Rs 275 crore!

Jayantilal Gada bags the all-version satellite rights of Pushpa 2?

As per a latest source-based report in Pinkvilla, it has been reported that the prolific producer Jayantilal Gada has now reportedly bagged the all-version satellite rights of the film. The cost of the same has not yet been disclosed. The same report further elaborated that, Jayantilal Gada has bagged Pushpa 2’s satellite rights of Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages and that the deal was done with Mythri.

The same report further stated that Jayantilal Gada will be now re-selling the rights to satellite players on the basis of the bids received. Looking back, it was Jayantilal Gada who had acquired the all-language satellite and digital rights for the Ram Charan and NTR Jr starrer blockbuster RRR.

While the film Pushpa 2: The Rule will be directed by Sukumar, it will star Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in their respective roles of Pushpa Raj, Srivalli and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The makers of the film have decided to launch the film’s first song on May 1, 2024. And as for the film, it will be released in theatres all over on August 15 this year
