Pushpa: The Rule TN box office collection: Pushpa: The Rule finally hit the atres on Thursday, and is currently enjoying a solo release for the weekend. The much-anticipated film, which is high on commercial and mass elements, has Allu Arjun as the leading man with Sukumar wielding the megaphone. Pushpa: The Rule is the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, and enjoyed a pan-Indian release across major south languages and Hindi. With Allu Arjun enjoying a fanbase in Tamil Nadu, the sequel witnessed about 50.55% Tamil occupancy on Thursday and has managed to collect Rs 7 crore.
With no major Tamil releases this week, Pushpa: The Rule is literally ruling the theatres across Tamil Nadu. The film, distributed by AGS Entertainment, has managed to collect Rs 7 crore on day one, on Thursday. The film enjoyed an occupancy rate of 50.55% in the state.

Overall, Pushpa 2 also released in languages including Telugu (original), Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The day one collection across all the languages is Rs 175 crore. Directed by Sukumar, the film is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in important roles. Pushpa: The Rule has already made Rs 100 crore before its release, with advance bookings. A third part titled Pushpa: The Rampage is in the works.
The post-theatrical streaming rights of Pushpa: The Rule have been bagged by Netflix, even as the first part is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. In all likelihood, the sequel will release in January 2025 on Netflix. An official date is yet to be announced.
The Pushpa film franchise revolves around the titular character Pushpa Raj, who becomes the kingpin of red sanders smuggling trade and builds an empire of his own. However, after a newly transferred cop gets rubbed on the wrong side, it sets the stage for a duel.
