Putting an end to the wait of Qismat fans, the team dropped the teaser of the sequel to their hit romantic drama, titled Qismat 2, today. The minute-long teaser gives a glimpse of the iconic couple played by the famous duo Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta. The characters are seen lamenting on their love story being incomplete and consoling each other saying if not in this birth, they’ll definitely reunite in the next. The video then shows a flashback of their journey, meeting in college and falling in love.
The sequel has the same cast and crew that worked in the earlier movie. Ammy and Sargun, the writer-director Jagdeep Singh Sidhu, music composer B Praak and lyricist Jaani are also back to continue the story of the hit Punjabi drama.
The 2018 film Qismat narrates the story of Shivjit (Ammy), who falls in love with Bani (Sargun), though they are in relationships with somebody else. The movie had Guggu Gill, Tania and Harby Sangha in supporting roles. The movie also marked the debut of Tania in a feature film. The movie was widely accepted and loved by a large number of audiences who were eagerly awaiting the news of its sequel.
The promising teaser of Qismat 2 has already ignited sparks on social media and has added delight to the audience’s day. The background score in the teaser is melodious and makes one nostalgic, reminding the days of their teenage love. The music is composed by Sandeep Saxena.
