Netflix's most popular star and internet sensation, Rohit Saraf has become a youth icon-of-sorts, particularly following his consecutive OTT drops that have connected with audiences.

Saraf dropped out of school after completing his 10th grade to try his luck in tinseltown. He made his Bollywood debut in the coming-of-age drama film starring Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan where he played a small yet significant role of Alia’s younger brother. Saraf followed this up with a string of supporting turns in films such as the Norwegian drama What Will People Say (2017) and Yash Raj Films’ Hichki(2018). Saraf pulled a compelling performance in the critically-acclaimed The Sky is Pink (2019), starring Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim. The actor’s performance was also lauded in the Netflix multi-starrer Ludo (2020) starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, among others.

Saraf’s big break that turned him from a supporting actor to one who can hold a show was in the Netflix original series Mismatched (2020) where he played the lead opposite Prajakta Koli. Being touted as the national crush of India, he portrayed a confused teenager in love with a highly ambitious girl in the show and delivered an impactful performance.

Saraf even made his Tamil debut in the romantic drama Kamali From Nadukkaveri (2020) and went on to feature in the Netflix anthology film, Feels like Ishq (2021), a modern take on romance. The Mismatched actor is also in news for his upcoming film Vikram Vedha featuring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan. From television shows and web-series to OTT originals, this rising star has outdone himself in each and every turn.
