Seven of Steven Spielberg’s films have been inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

The auteur’s works, most well-known among which are the Jurassic Park franchise, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, have not only garnered critical acclaim, but have been commercial blockbusters that have enamoured global audiences. Known as a master of his craft, Spielberg’s filmography defied any compartmentalisation, with the director having delved into multiple genres like sci-fi, historical dramas, and adventures series among others.
Through his illustrious career, Spielberg’s films have picked up a total of 34 Oscars, 22 BAFTAs and 11 Golden Globe Awards.
