With a career spanning over six decades, Steven Spielberg has successfully influenced numerous directors through his filmmaking.

The auteur’s works, most well-known among which are the Jurassic Park franchise, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, have not only garnered critical acclaim but have been commercial blockbusters that have enamoured global audiences. Known as a master of his craft, Spielberg’s filmography defied any compartmentalisation, with the director having delved into multiple genres like sci-fi, historical dramas, and adventures series among others.

Through his illustrious career, Spielberg’s films have picked up a total of 34 Oscars, 22 BAFTAs and 11 Golden Globe Awards. Seven of Steven Spielberg’s films have been inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
