From Slumdog Millionaire to The Green Knight, British actor Dev Patel has had a glorious run
Dev Patel made his acting debut in the 2007 British comedy TV show, Skins, where he essayed the role of a teenager with a quirky sense of humour. He bagged his major breakthrough in Danny Boyle's Academy Award-winning sleeper hit Slumdog Millionaire (2008). His character in the film, Jamal Malik, a young man from Mumbai with modest means, earned him numerous accolades including the Critics' Choice Award for Best Young Actor, BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, among others.
