Dwayne Johnson or popularly known by his ringname, the Rock, is one of the, if not the highest-paid actors in the world today, after having appeared in several commercial blockbusters such as the Fast & Furious franchise, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jungle Cruise, and Rampage. He is also set to appear in the upcoming film Black Adam as the titular character - the DC comics anti-hero and arch-nemesis of the superhero Shazam. Several other pro-wrestlers such as John Cena and Dave Bautista have also become mainstream draws in recent years. Cena has already appeared in two big-budget films this year, Fast & Furious 9, The Suicide Squad, and Vacation Friends. He will reprise his role from The Suicide Squad and will play the titular character in the spin-off TV show, Peacemaker. Dave Bautista who played the popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) character, Drax, in several films, recently played the lead role in Netflix’s hit zombie film Army of the Dead. He is set to appear in the highly anticipated Denis Villeneuve film Dune, releasing later this year, after having previously collaborated with the acclaimed director in Blade Runner 2049.
