R. Madhavan’s passion project Rocketry has released in theatres. However, the actor does point out that since it is rocket science, people are not supposed to understand his movie. Nonetheless, his film has been receiving rave reviews from all corners.

The actor spoke to News 18, where he happened to speak about how he made the story appealing when it deals with a topic as complex as rocket science. The actor chuckled and said, “It is rocket science. People are not supposed to get it.”

He however added that he made it easy for the common man to get the impact of Nambi Narayanan’s achievement. The actor, who has turned director with the project, also promised the viewers that they wouldn’t cringe upon watching the topic.

“That was the whole idea. To stay as factual as possible and at the same time, not alienate the audiences,” Madhavan added.

Rocketry is a movie R. Madhavan has been working on for six years. The actor heard Nambi Narayanan’s story and was so moved by it that he decided to not only play the part but also direct the film and produce it too.

The actor, on many occasions, has also revealed that people did not wish to take a risk with the movie. It was only because he believed in the subject, that Madhavan invested all of his energy into the project as an actor, director and producer.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect released in theatres on July 1. The film has been working immensely well at the Box Office after the positive word-of-mouth it has received from critics as well as viewers.

The OTT release date and platform for Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has not been revealed yet. However, considering the pace of the film currently, people might have to wait a while before catching the film on OTT.
