Actor R Madhavan’s web series Decoupled wrapped up its shooting, and the actor took to his social media on Wednesday to announce the news.
He shared a picture of himself reading a book, and wrote in the caption “ANDDDDD it’s a Wrap!!!! For #Decoupled Season 1 on Netflix”. The release date of the web series is yet to be announced.
The Netflix original also stars Surveen Chawla, who played a pivotal role in Sacred Games that was also released on the streamer. A few months ago, Netflix had revealed the first still of the show, in which Madhavan and Surveen were seen holding hands.
The comedy series is about a couple who are on the verge of a divorce. Madhavan plays the role of the writer Arya Iyer who has persuaded his wife to continue living with him for the sake of their teen daughter, even though their marriage is over. The couple try to act as a family before their daughter who is afraid of their divorce.
The series is directed by Hardik Mehta, who is well-known for his films such as Kaamyaab and Roohi. Under the creation of Manu Joseph, the series is produced by Bombay Fables, Andolan Films.
Madhavan, who has starred in several movies such as Alaipayuthey, Anbe Sivam and Kannathil Muthamittal, made his OTT debut in 2018 series Breathe which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile Surveen Chawla has starred in movies like Hate Story 2, Creature 3D, Parched and Ugly.
