R. Madhavan’s passion project Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has got a new release date. The film is now slated to release in theatres on July 1. The movie revolves around former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer, Nambi Narayan.

Madhavan shared a video announcing the new release date. He shared a motion poster of the film for the same.

“Sometimes a man who is wronged… is a nation wronged,” the video is captioned. “For all your love and Good wishes,” Madhavan shared along with the post.

Directed by Madhavan, Rocketry also stars Phyllis Logan, Vincent Riotta, Ron Donaiche along with Simran, Rajit Kapur, Ravi Raghavendra, Misha Ghoshal, Gulshan Grover, Karthik Kumar and Dinesh Prabhakar in pivotal roles. The movie will also feature Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya in special appearances. The music for this movie has been composed by Sam CS.

Produced by TriColour films, Varghese Moolan Pictures and 27th Investments. The film is being distributed by UFO Moviez and AGS Cinemas in India and will be distributed internationally by Yash Raj Films and Phars Film Co.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was shot in India, France, Canada, Georgia, Serbia and Russia. It will mark Madhavan’s return to acting after three long years (after his cameo in Aanand L. Rai-Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero).

The movie is originally filmed in Hindi, Tamil and English. However, the film will also release in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
