Ra Ra Rakkamma is here: Full version of Vikrant Rona’s hit special number drops online

Gadang Rakkamma – The Queen of Good Times took the internet by storm when its lyrical video came out. The first song from Vikrant Rona to be released, it had fleeting visuals of lead actor Sudeep and Bollywood siren Jacqueline Fernandez burning up the bar/dance floor/. The hook step went viral almost immediately and became one of the most popular songs that people replicated for social media reels.

Select media and guests were treated to a 3D preview of the song during the promotions of the film and word had spread about just how good it looked on the big screen. A day prior to the release, the team had dropped a teaser of the song, which was also lapped up eagerly. No wonder, then, that the song was one of the most highly anticipated moments in the film, when it released. And now, the full song is available online for every one who loved Jacqueline’s slick moves. Sung by Nakash Azmi and Sunidhi Chauhan, the song was composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath.

Vikrant Rona was director Anup Bhandari’s first collaboration with Sudeep. Pegged as a fantasy-action-adventure drama, the film received mixed reviews, given the familiar terrain it treads. Anup’s film was set in his ‘Rangitaranga universe’ and bore striking similarities to his directorial debut. The film was about the mysterious disappearances of people in a place called Kamarottu and the police officer who arrives to get to the bottom of it. The film also starred Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok, Madhusudan Rao, Ravishankar Gowda, among others.

Released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, Vikrant Rona is believed to have made around Rs 125 crore in the world-wide market. Final figures are yet to be revealed by the team. The film’s Kannada satellite and digital rights had been sold to Zee Kannada and Zee5 respectively prior to the release. The deal for the other languages is still being worked out.
