The trailer of Trisha's action entertainer Raangi was unveiled on Friday. The film, which has Trisha playing the leading lady, has some heavy-duty action scenes and punch dialogues, all doled out by Trisha's character. The film directed by M Saravanan, has Anaswara Rajan, John Mahendran, Lizzie Antony, Gopi Kannadasan and among others. Going by the trailer, it looks like Trisha is on a mission to rescue the character played by Anaswara Rajan (said to be playing Trisha's niece in the film), who is stuck amid a battle of sorts. The film seems to be set in the backdrop of Uzbekistan and Trisha plays a character that packs a punch. We also get to see a mysterious teenager from frame to frame. The story and dialogues for the film are by director AR Murugadoss.

While the music for the film is by C Sathya, cinematography is by KA Shakthivel and editing by S Subarak. Action sequences are choreographed by Raja Sekar. The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions. Taking to their social media handle, the production house wrote, "Presenting the action packed TRAILER of #RAANGI   https://youtu.be/fgXHthHVj-A Releasing in theatres on Dec 30. #RaangiFromDec30 @trishtrashers @Saravanan16713 @ARMurugadoss @CSathyaOfficial @shakthi_dop @gkmtamilkumaran @LycaProductions #Subaskaran (sic)."

Interestingly, dubbing artist and actress Raveen Ravi has dubbed for Trisha. However, many fans have cited that the voice didn't suit Trisha. The film has been censored and has been given the U/A certificate. Raangi, which has been lying in the backburner, is all set to hit screens on December 30 and Trisha fans can't be more excited to end the year on a high.

Trisha also has in her kitty Paramapadham Vilaiyattu, Sathuranga Vettai 2 and The Road awaiting release. The South Queen was last seen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, in which she played Princess Kundavai of the Chola kingdom.
