Raashi Khanna calls Thiruchitrambalam, a heartwarming film

Dhanush's latest release Thiruchitrambalam, which hit screens on August 18, has opened to positive reviews and has been running to packed houses. The film stars Dhanush in the lead, and has three leading ladies, Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film is a romantic family drama, written and directed by Mithran R Jawahar. 

Raashi Khanna, who plays one of the leading ladies in Thiruchitrambalam and Dhanush's love interest, shared an adorable still from the film and urged fans to watch the same. She wrote, "Seen our film #Thiruchitrambalam yet!? For those who have seen it and showered so much love, thankyou ♥️ Grateful 😇 For those who haven’t, watch it, it’s heartwarming, I promise! ♥️ (sic).” Fans are already in awe of the chemistry between the two stars.  

Dhanush is seen as the titular character Thiruchitrambalam as his character is known as Pazham and he plays a food delivery agent in the film. Nithya Menen plays his best friend, while Raashi Khanna plays Pazham's girlfriend and Priya Bhavani Shankar, his crush. The supporting cast includes Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Munishkanth, Sivaranjini and Stunt Silva. 

The film marks the comeback of the hit duo, Anirudh Ravichander and Dhanush after a gap of a few years. The last time they had teamed up for a film was for Thangamagan, which released in 2015. Thiruchitrambalam marks Dhanush's fifth collaboration with the composer. The album comprises four songs- Thaai Kelavi, Megham Karukkatha, Life of Pazham and Thenmozhi. Cinematography for the film is by Om Prakash and Prasanna GK. 

The film has been bankrolled by Sun Pictures. While the satellite rights of the film have been bagged by Sun TV, the digital rights have been acquired by Sun NXT. The film has been distributed by Red Giant Movies. The film has been declared a success at the box office.
