Raashii Khanna, who is awaiting the release of her Tamil horror drama Aranmanai 4, is all set to star in yet another South Indian biggie. According to the latest reports, the actress has been roped in to play Nithiin’s love interest in his upcoming film, Robinhood. Venky Kudumula is directing the film, which is currently in the production stage. It is interesting to note that Raashii and Nithiin first paired together in the 2018 romantic family drama Srinivasa Kalyanam, which was directed by Satish Vegesna. The film did not do well and turned out to be a box-office disaster.
The makers of Robinhood released the first-look poster for the movie on Republic Day. A short glimpse video was also released, which features Nithiin, dressed as Santa Claus, holding a bag full of cash and gold. While the front portion of his bike reads, ‘I’m an Indian’, in the back, it is written, 'I’m aware that I’m rare'. As he hides his money, Nithiin says that since he treats all Indians like his brothers and sisters, he also feels that he has the right to take money from them. The makers are looking to present an action-packed entertainer with Nithiin essaying a modern-day Robinhood. But will this movie save the actor from another box office dud? We may have to wait patiently to witness that.
Interestingly, in another poster unveiled by the makers on the actor's birthday earlier, Nithiin is seen sporting a dashing cop outfit with a cool hairdo. While posting this, the production house tweeted, "Agent Robinhood reports on duty for some adventure and action." While the first look presents Nithiin as a con artist, another poster features him as a special officer. This suggests that the actor will have several different getups in the film.
Robinhood is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and also stars Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles. The film’s music is scored by GV Prakash Kumar, while Sai Sriram is in charge of cinematography.
