Raashii Khanna on being a part of Karan Johar's Yodha: Got to fulfil my childhood fantasies; I wanted to look pretty and be part of a glossy film

With Madras Cafe (2013), Raashii Khanna made her Bollywood debut before turning to the South Indian film industry. After a decade, she is back in Hindi film to realise a childhood ambition, namely, to appear in a Karan Johar movie, Yodha, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani.

Raashii told Mid Day that she had to pinch herself to convince herself that Yodha qualified as a Dharma heroine. The actor was able to realise a childhood dream of hers, which was to appear attractive and appear in a glamorous movie.

A Johar film always seemed out of reach for Khanna. After working with Sidharth in the movie directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, she had to change her mind about some things.

At first, Raashii thought that only a small number of actors could be Dharma heroines. She didn't believe it was simple for visitors from outside to obtain such films. As a result of the fact that the actor in this movie helps others, to appear in a Dharma movie, one doesn't need to come from a particular background. Work on one's skill set so diligently that their talent cannot be overlooked.

Yodha is fundamentally an action movie. Khanna points out, however, that the film doesn't underplay the roles of its female characters. Typically, a female performer doesn't have much to do in such glitzy movies. However, she bears a great deal of responsibility for Yodha.

Farzi will be Raashii's second digital release. She got praise for her strong performance as the psychopath female lead in Rudra: The Edge of Darkness.

Raashii stated in a statement that Farzi was their labour of love and one of her most treasured roles in life. The poster does a great job of capturing her character's power, confidence, and strength. She is a woman who stands her ground in a society where men are more common. She is a strong woman who embodies the fervent feminism that Raj and DK practise. The actor can't wait to introduce the audience to Farzi's universe.
