Dhanush-starrer Raayan is all set to release its first single soon! On the occasion of Tamil Puthandu (New Year), the actor-director took to his social media pages to drop the exciting news to his fans. Wishing his fans a happy Tamil New Year, Dhanush announced that the first single from the actor’s directorial will be releasing soon. Although the date has not been confirmed, the new announcement has definitely generated significant hype around the upcoming gangster drama. The film’s music is composed by Academy Award-winning composer A R Rahman.

Along with the announcement, the actor also dropped an interesting poster from the film which featured himself and his co-stars Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan. The four leading stars are seen posing for what appears to be a family photo at a studio. Actress Dushara is seen seated, while her male co-stars Dhanush, Kalidas and Sundeep stand next to her. The poster hints that all four actors might be playing siblings in the film.
Earlier it was reported that Dhanush will not be having a love interest in the film and that actress Dushara might be essaying the role of the Captain Miller star’s sister. Now, the new poster also hints at the same. However, an official confirmation from the team is awaited on the same.
When is Raayan releasing
With many big Tamil projects having pushed their release dates owing to the upcoming general elections, Dhanush’s directorial gangster drama is also yet to zero in on a release date. However, a few reports claim that Raayan might be released in theatres in June, more specifically on June 7. Although an official confirmation is awaited, the speculation has been trending on social media, with fans excited about the release of the film.
With an ensemble star cast including Selvaraghavan, SJ Suryah, Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Saravanan and Aparna Balamurali, the upcoming Dhanush-starrer is going to be a treat for Tamil fans.
