Racharikam is a social drama that was in the making for over a year. After getting delayed for a long time, the action drama hit the screens on January 31, 2025. Well, the film is back in the news as it has finally locked its OTT partner. As per the latest update, Lionsgate Play has bagged the digital rights to the film for a very nominal price.
The news is also that Lionsgate Play will make Racharikam available for streaming from April 11, 2025. Apsara Rani played the female lead in this film which also had seasoned actor Varun Sandesh in a key role. Directed by Suresh Lankalapalli, the film had a very intense subject but did not work at the box office.

Set in the small town of Rachakonda in the year 1980, Apsara Rani and Varun Sandesh play siblings in the film. After a very long gap, Apsara Rani made a comeback to Telugu cinema with this film and impressed everyone with her intense act.
The special aspect of the film is the negative role by Varun Sandesh. He shocked everyone with his ruthless performance in the film. But sadly, it did not help the film one bit at the box office. For the longest time, the makers were struggling to find an OTT platform and finally, the film is all set to land on Lionsgate Play soon.
One of the biggest highlights of the film was the interval bang where a key twist from the film is revealed in a stunning manner. Varun Sandesh has been doing back-to-back films and banked heavily on this film to get back but that did not happen.
Racharikam also features a strong supporting cast, including Hyper Aadi, Rangasthalam Mahesh, Vijaya Ramarao, Srikanth Iyengar, Mahboob Basha, Roopesh Marapu, Prachi Thakur, Latha, and Eswar.
