Daali Dhanajaya and Rachita Ram are easily two of the busiest actors working in Kannada cinema today. They boast of a wide array of projects that are vibrant and distinct in equal measure and when a film featuring both comes along, the excitement among the fans is sure to be cranked up. In this vein, Monsoon Raaga, the upcoming film directed by S. Ravindranath, seems like the perfect outing for the dynamic duo for it offers an intriguing retro setting and moody romance, among many other things.
Earlier today, the team of Monsoon Raaga took to social media to announce that the film will be releasing in cinema halls on August 12th (2022). Directed by S. Ravindranath of Pushpaka Vimana fame, Monsoon Raaga features both Dhananjaya and Rachita Ram in never-seen-before avatars with the elements of rain and music being integral to the story. J. Anoop Seelin has scored the film's soundtrack with S.K. Rao handling cinematography - A.R. Vikhyath has produced the film under his home banner of Vikhyath Chitra Productions.
Speaking about the film's soundtrack and its unique flavor, composer Anoop Seeling says: "The entire soundscape of Monsoon Raaga is very close to my heart because it is emotional and rooted. The retro setting allows for Indian classical elements in the score and with rain playing a huge role in the story, music is ingrained in the narrative. Music is the essence of Monsoon Raaga and the film is designed to accommodate the score uniquely. S. Ravindranath's screenplay too is quite interesting in that regard and I am very excited to share our work with the audience".
On the other hand, according to recent reports, S. Ravindranath has already begun working on his third film which has been titled 'Sunflower'. Touted to be an intense love story, Sunflower will feature debutants Shivank and Nireeksha Rao. As far as Monsoon Raaga is concerned, the team is only a few days away from wrapping up the shooting. More updates to follow soon.
