Filmmaker Prem’s upcoming release is Ek Love Ya, the film in which he is introducing his wife Rakshitha’s brother Raanna as a leading man in Kannada cinema. While the film is slated for a January 21, 2022 release, Prem has been introducing audiences to his lead cast, which also includes Rachita Ram and newbie Reeshma Nanaiah.

First there was the peppy Armaan Malik track, Yaare Yaare, that was released as a Valentine’s Day special, the video of which featured the singer, as well as composer Arjun Janya and his band of trusted musicians, with fleeting glimpses of Raanna and Reeshma. Helu Yaake, which came next, is melody that was not only written by Prem, but has him filling in as singer as well.

Today, the filmmaker has released a song called Yennegu Hennigu, which breaks the perception that love breakups and drinking are only for boys, as Rachita takes to the bottle in a bar for this number. The song, adds Prem, asserts that even girl can celebrate a breakup with a tipple. His lyrics have been brought alive by the vocals of Mangli and Kailash Kher, and although the video that’s out has only glimpses of Raanna and Rachita, they appear to be dancing to the track, while enjoying a peg or two.

Ek Love Ya is a love story produced by the filmmaker’s home banner, Rakshithas Film Factory. Apart from the songs and a brief teaser that was released earlier, Prem has kept most details about the film out of the public eye, with the cast and crew also told not to reveal details. But well, we are already in mid-November and the film is only two months away. Until then, perhaps Prem will continue regaling audiences with good music.
