Rachna Banerjee and Locket Chatterjee bid farewell to makeup during the poll season

The election is just around the corner and the actors-turned-election candidates have no time to respite. Even though they came to politics, they are still stars. It is their habit to go outside being completely decked-up with immaculate makeup. However, Locket Chatterjee and Rachna Banerjee have no time to do makeup. 

It is scorching heat in Bengal. But the BJP's Locket and the TMC's Rachna are campaigning in full form all over the Hooghly constituency. The campaign goes on for the entire day. 

Locket, once a popular face on the silver screen, bade farewell to acting after coming to politics. However, she agrees that the fight in real life is much tougher than that of the reel. Hence there is no time for makeup. In a recent interview, Locket told Anandabazar, “The fight is for the common people. I have been away from the films for the last ten years to be in politics. Makeup has stopped since then.” 

Rachna Banerjee is a newcomer in politics, but she also has no time for makeup. Rachna told Anandabazar 'I got two months for the campaign. I got people's love. It is fine if I don't do makeup now.' 

What are the diets they go through this summer? Locket said she takes muri every morning and keeps water, muri, and batasa with her during the campaign. She is drinking a lot of water and is having panta bhat for dinner. Locket said she advised her party workers to drink a lot of water. 

Rachna said she is having a light meal and drinking coconut water during the campaign. She relies on fruits, boiled food and a lot of water. Rachna said she keeps fit with people's love.
