Radhe Shyam box office collection: Prabhas, Pooja Hegde starrer is one step closer to Rs 200 crore mark

One of the biggest releases of the year, Radhe Shyam hit theares on March 11. Even after unfavourable reviews, the Prabhas starrer has still done a good job at the box office. 

The latest reports suggest that the period romantic drama is now one step away from the Rs 200 crore mark. According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the movie has gossed Rs 197.84 crore worldwide. 

"#RadheShyam WW Box Office INCHING towards 200 cr. Week 1 - 191.14 cr Week 2 Day 1 - 6.70 cr Total - 197.84 #Prabhas (sic)." he wrote on Twitter. 

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the movie did not impress the critics or the fans. They were also vocal about the movie failing to impress them on social media. But despite poor reviews, the movie stands out at the box office with its massive collection within days of its release. 

"Radhe Shyam is a disastrous script, translated onto the screen without any conviction or an iota of honesty. The biggest names in the industry, both cast and crew, can't do anything to salvage the poor writing. Not a single moment or performance in the film touches your soul and creates a profound impact," reads the OTTPlay review.  

The movie has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. The actor recently said in an interview that she feels every film has its destiny at the box office, and that’s on the film. She also shared her excitement after fans praised her performance in the romantic drama.
