Legendary actor Krishnam Raju, uncle of Baahubali actor Prabhas, is donning the grease paint again after a six-year hiatus from Telugu cinema. The veteran will be seen in an extended cameo in Prabhas, Pooja Hegde's epic romance Radhe Shyam, directed by Radha Krishna Kumar that's getting ready for a worldwide release on January 14,2022. Krisham Raju had participated in a schedule held in Italy for the crucial role. Putting an end to the suspense around his character in the film, the makers, UV Productions, released his first look from Radhe Shyam.

The yesteryear actor plays a character titled Paramahamsa (modelled on Ramakrishna Paramahamsa?) in Radhe Shyam and is seen in a sage-like avatar in the first look. Wrapping himself in a saffron cloth and holding a rudraksh in his right hand, the first look is set amid the backdrop of an ashram and several 'holy' elements. This is a complete surprise for audiences, who were expecting to see him in a contemporary look for the film. It looks like his character will lend a spiritual dimension to the story.

While talking about working with Krishnam Raju in a recent interview, the director Radha Krishna Kumar had said, "He's a legend in his own right and the current generation, which has little or no exposure to his body of work in the past, will get to see him for the first time through my film. Even at his age, the child-like enthusiasm he had for acting and filmmaking truly bamboozled me." Three songs from the film composed by Justin Prabhakaran, including Sanchari, Nagumomu Thaarale, Ee Raathale are out.

Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Bhagyashree, Jagapathi Babu, Murali Sharma, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Riddhi Kumar, Sasha Chettri and Sathyan essay supporting roles in the film. Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the camera, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao in the editor. The film's trailer launch will be held at December 23 in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad in the presence of the cast, crew and the fans of the lead actors.
