Radhe trailer breakdown: Salman does an encore of Wanted, only louder this time

The trailer for the biggest Bollywood OTT release yet, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, dropped as promised by the makers on April 22 and it packs everything that one comes to expect from a Salman Khan Eid release these days. It has thumping action scenes, punch dialogues and even a popular song from the South because director Prabhudeva knows exactly where to look for inspiration for his Bollywood’s remakes.

The trailer once again introduces Radhe – an undercover ‘specialist’ who has participated in 97 encounters and has his own style (and swag) to get the job done. Disha Patani will be teaming up again with Khan, this time as Jackie Shroff’s sister Dia. With the superhit song Seeti Maar, from Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham (DJ) being featured in a Prabhudeva-directorial, it’s sort of a given that both Khan and Patani will have a chance to put on some stylish moves on the dance floor.

Of course, we also have another antagonist in Randeep Hooda, who was obviously in between shooting for the 2020 Chris Hemsworth’s action-thriller Extraction while acting in Radhe and hence the same long-haired look. It remains to be seen whether he poses a similar threat as he did to Hemsworth’s mercenary character. From the looks of it, Radhe could actually make short work of him.

Radhe’s action scenes from the trailer also promises its fair share of skidding helicopters and flying bikes (yes, you read that right). And in case, the pandemic and a decade prior to that made you forget that this film is actually a Wanted sequel, the makers ensure they remind you with THAT commitment dialogue again.

The movie is set to release on May 13 on multiple platforms simultaneously. While ZEE5 will be streaming it on its pay-per-view service ZEEPLEX, the film will also hit theatres and has tied up with DTH providers for its TV release.
