In a striking new print campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, actress Radhika Madan has transformed into a green goddess, donning a dress made entirely of cabbage leaves.

The campaign, titled “Turn Over a New Leaf" and "Try Vegan," was unveiled on World Environment Day (June 5). The campaign aims to encourage people to adopt a vegan lifestyle.

Radhika’s personal journey towards veganism began several years ago when she decided to embrace this dietary choice to prepare for her role as a teenager in the film Angrezi Medium. Even after the cameras stopped rolling, she continued to adhere to a vegan diet.

Reflecting on her experience, Radhika shared, "My character, Tarika, from Angrezi Medium helped me discover vegan foods, and it completely changed my mindset and gave me a clearer perspective on life. I have incorporated a lot of leafy greens into my diet, and sattu is my primary source of protein. Contrary to common misconceptions, there are a wide variety of delicious vegan options available. I encourage everyone to explore plant-based eating — it not only benefits the animals but also enhances your own well-being."

Radhika joins a roster of prominent celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan, Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Hema Malini, and R Madhavan, who have partnered with PETA India to promote healthy and humane meat-free meals.

Radhika was last seen in Kacchey Limbu. She is gearing up for an exciting lineup of films in 2023. These include Sanaa, the Hindi adaptation of the critically acclaimed Soorarai Pottru featuring Akshay Kumar, Happy Teacher's Day directed by Mikhil Musale, and Rumi Ki Sharafat, helmed by renowned ad filmmaker Prashant Bhagia.
