Raghavendra Stores is Ajaneesh B. Loknath's second collaboration with Hombale Films following the super-successful Kantara.
The very prolific music composer Ajaneesh B. Loknath continues to deliver one hit song after the other and his latest project Raghavendra Stores, too, brims with his signature tunes. The main single of the soundtrack, 'Single Sundara', features his best-known collaborator Vijay Prakash on the vocals (along with Naveen Sajju) with the combination of Santhosh Ananddram and Nagarjun Sharma penning the catchy lyrics. The highlight of the song, of course, is Ajaneesh's foot-tapping tune which is accentuated by the earthy sounds of the nadaswaram and kazoo instruments.
Single Sundara, in the context of the film's storyline, captures protagonist Hayavadana's (played by Jaggesh) escapades and misery as he tries to find his significant other. Having already hit 40, Hayavadana's failed attempts to land a female companion have his friends and family poking fun at him and the song's lyrics (and visuals) reveal just that. The single became an instant hit among fans and has already clocked more than 2.65 million views on YouTube.
With Raghavendra Stores currently playing in theatres, the makers have released the second single from the album. Titled Gaalige Gandha, the song is credited to Ajaneesh Loknath and Ghouse Peer (as singers) with the lyrics, however, underlining a particularly testing period in the lives of the characters. Gaalige Gandha arrives in the second half of the film with the characters played by Jaggesh, Shwetha Srivatsav, Dattanna and others featured in the visuals. The song is now available to stream on all top platforms such as Spotify, Gaana, Amazon Music, etc. but is yet to drop on YouTube.
Raghavendra Stores is Ajaneesh B. Loknath's second collaboration with Hombale Films following the super-successful Kantara. Although Ajaneesh's efforts in the Rishab Shetty were later marred by the 'Varaha Roopam' plagiarism controversy involving the Kerala-based band Thaikkudam Bridge, the entire soundtrack (including OST) is still regarded as a game-changer in the Kannada Film Industry.
