Keerthy Suresh starrer Raghu Thatha’s first glimpse video has been unveiled! The upcoming film, headlined by the Mahanati actress, marks celebrated screenwriter Suman Kumar directorial debut. He is known for his work in Farzi and Guns & Gulaabs, among others. Raghu Thatha is touted to be a comedy entertainer, and is backed by Hombale Films, marking their first production venture in Tamil cinema.

Raghu Thatha’s first glimpse showcases an announcement made about a new feature film, which is arriving in the cinemas soon. Yes, and the movie is titled Raghu Thatha. It invites movie lovers to watch the film with their friends and family. The flex board showcases the film’s title, featuring a picture of Keerthy in a yellow saree. 

This has already intrigued viewers, who are anticipating an out-and-out entertaining film. The first looks hints at a comedy film, with Keerthy taking centre stage.

What makes Keerthy Suresh the ‘perfect’ choice to play the lead

In a poster released earlier, the tagline ‘Because The Revolution Begins At Home’ was used. The movie is said to be a satirical take on the journey of a young woman, played by Keerthy, who is apparently trying to ‘protect the identity of her land and people’. 

The plot follows the story of a strong-willed woman, who goes about challenging society’s status quo to establish her identity. It was reported earlier that Hombale Films considered Keerthy the best choice to play this character. “Keerthy is the perfect choice to play the lead, given her talent and versatility, and we’re happy to have her on board,” said Vijay Kiragandur - the founder of Hombale Films in a press statement.

Keerthy Suresh’s upcoming projects

Last seen in Chiranjeevi starrer Bhola Shankar, Keerthy has a slew of projects lined up for 2024. The actress, who has recently signed an OTT project opposite Varun Dhwan, will also be seen in Siren, Kannivedi and Revolver Rita.
